What Is RateMatch?

RateMatch is an intelligent price matching tool that helps hotels convert more direct bookings by responding to OTA price discrepancies in real time. There are two versions:

On-Demand Rate Match (primary focus)
A guest clicks a “Match My Price” call-to-action and fills out a short form with their stay details and the OTA where they found a lower price.
RateParity checks the OTA rate in real time.
If the OTA price is lower but within the hotel’s set discount threshold, a pre-created voucher code is automatically applied in the booking engine.
The matched rate is displayed and applies only to that individual visitor.
If the OTA’s rate exceeds the defined limit, no match is offered.

Real-Time Rate Match (advanced option)

Triggered with each availability search.
OTA prices are checked during the search process. 
If a lower OTA rate is detected, the system dynamically adjusts the direct price before sending it to the booking engine.
Requires two distinct rate plans: one for OTA/channel manager mapping, and one for dynamic adjustments.

All logic follows hotel-defined thresholds and rules — no uncontrolled price updates are made.

How It Works (Version 1 — On-Demand Rate Match)

1. A guest clicks “Match My Price” after spotting a cheaper rate on an OTA.
2. They enter a short form with dates, number of guests, and the OTA URL.
3. The system checks OTA rates in real time.
4. If within threshold, a voucher code is triggered and applied.
5. The matched price is displayed in the booking engine.
6. The guest completes the reservation — without redirection.
